Minority Business Leaders Endorse Roger C. Claar for Mayor
4/6/2009

Dear Friends, with the tremendous growth of our community in numbers and in diversity these past 4 years, coupled with the nasty nature of this election cycle, we thought it was time for minority leaders who have lived and worked in this Community for many years to speak out. My name is Joe Johnson, my family has lived in Bolingbrook since 1983. I serve on the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, The Bolingbrook Exchange Club’s Board of Directors, and The Illinois Aviation Museum’s Board of Directors.

My family supports and/or volunteers for several local not for profits,
H20, Ducap, The Power Connection and The Bolingbrook Christian Business Association just to name a few. We actively coach Plainfield Jr Cats Football, Bolingbrook tee ball, Park District jr boys basketball , Panther girls Basketball and softball to name a few others.

We own and operate JLJ Investments, Inc. the holdings firm for Skyway Elevator Repair, J & J Vending Co. , and R Little Secret Caters. We have watched this community expand from a small one stop light , one seat down restaurant to the beautiful diversity filled community that’s ranks with Money Magazine as #32 best community to live in our country.

Mayor Claar continues to open the doors of growth and opportunity in our community for all business leaders of all backgrounds. Our community has been recognized because we are truly diverse and have learned to live and work together in relative peace. There are several candidates for varies offices in our local races, please examine each candidate on their platforms and, or what they planned to add to our community. We do support and ask you to support Roger C Claar For Mayor and Bill Mayer for Dupage Township Supervisor.

My neighbors, business associates, friends, and family ask that in this election cycle, you the diverse community of Bolingbrook , come out April 7th and support the candidates that have listened to our community’s business needs. The candidates who have helped make this a great place to live and work.

Thank you,

Joe Johnson & Friends

Tour with the Mayor-

Life,

I had a chance to meet a lot of people. I interviewed First Lady Mrs.Obama, Paul Kaupas, Nancy Schultz Voots, Mayor Roger Claar (Bolingbrook), Mayor Joseph Broda (Lisle), Mayor Art Schultz (Joliet), Marilyn Miglin, Senator AJ Wilhelmi and more. I like to talk to Marilyn Miglin. She always says life is all about service. One thing I found out about Mayor Claar and everyone I mentioned is that they are men and women of sacrifice…they are always willing to serve.

Watch the Tour with the Mayor Roger C. Claar video to see what I am talking about….
